Building the cybersecurity talent pipeline is one of our key objectives. We have aligned with academia, K-12, higher education, and our training partners, to offer some of the most recognized certifications programs, associate, bachelor, and master degrees to meet the demands of our automotive and defense industry. The field of cybersecurity is dynamically changing and our partners are consistently preparing our workforce for life long learning. Special trainings and seminars, such as cybersecurity challenges, penetration testing exercises, and hack-a-thons are available through our cyber hubs.

Across the US, cyber security jobs are at a pace to grow 17% from 2011-2020, but in Macomb County that rate is nearly 42%.

These jobs are multipliers – for every new job in cyber security, at least 2 more are created on average.

By 2020, the number of jobs for software developers in Macomb County is on track to grow by 50%. These jobs pay upwards of $35/hr.
